UUDEVIEW FOR WINDOWS
The UUDeview for Windows package will help you with decoding files
that you have received via email or from a newsgroup. You will also
find a way to encode files, should you want to send or post binary
files on your own. The decoder is particularly powerful; it still
accepts files that were rejected or only partially decoded by other
software.
UUdeview is a program that originally comes from the Unix world, and
it does not try to hide its origins. The program itself does only use
a text window. But there is the Launcher, a pure Windows application
that acts as a front-end to the program. It allows you to decode files
simply by dragging them from the File Manager onto the Launcher, or by
cut&paste.
Both the encoder and the decoder support the three encoding methods
uuencoding, xxencoding and Base64 (from the MIME standard). When
encoding, you can choose the method with a command-line option, and
the decoder auto-detects all of them.
For more information, and to see if new versions are available, look
at the UUDeview homepage on the WWW at
