  2.                              UUDEVIEW FOR WINDOWS

  6.    The UUDeview for Windows package will help you with decoding files
  7.    that you have received via email or from a newsgroup. You will also
  8.    find a way to encode files, should you want to send or post binary
  9.    files on your own. The decoder is particularly powerful; it still
  10.    accepts files that were rejected or only partially decoded by other
  11.    software.
  12.    
  13.    UUdeview is a program that originally comes from the Unix world, and
  14.    it does not try to hide its origins. The program itself does only use
  15.    a text window. But there is the Launcher, a pure Windows application
  16.    that acts as a front-end to the program. It allows you to decode files
  17.    simply by dragging them from the File Manager onto the Launcher, or by
  18.    cut&paste.

  20.    Both the encoder and the decoder support the three encoding methods
  21.    uuencoding, xxencoding and Base64 (from the MIME standard). When
  22.    encoding, you can choose the method with a command-line option, and
  23.    the decoder auto-detects all of them.

  37.                          this package. You can use the notepad to
  38.                          read the file.

  40.                          both programs and how to decode and encode
  41.                          files.

  43.    copying.txt           The License Agreement (GPL). Read it, or you'll
