  15. How about listening to you E-mail instead of reading it? 
  16. Most E-mail programs beep when a new message arrives. The more advanced ones, 
  17. play a sound file. In either case, if you are sitting in your living room and 
  18. your PC beeps you donÆt have any idea from who and what is the E-mail you have 
  19. just received. Talking E-mail is a cool E-mail notifier that enables you to 
  20. listen to your incoming E-mail messages. For example, when a new message arrives 
  21. from your friend "John", Talking E-mail displays an animated cartoon figure which 
  22. will say: "Message from John, Please contact me as soon as possible". The program 
  23. uses the Microsoft Agent (TM) technology to read the messages. You can select from 
  24. different cartoon characters (The ones used by MS Office (TM) ) , each with a unique 
  25. voice and look. Talking E-mail is Talking E-mail is both useful and fun. It is 
  26. highly customizable and will certainly make your incoming E-mail come alive.
  27. The program works with your standard E-mail account and no special hardware is 
  28. requires other than a standard sound card.

  30. The success of Talking E-mail version 1.0/1.1 and the excellent feedback we have 
  31. received from hundreds of users has proven the uniqueness of our product. To 
  32. further improve Talking E-mail we integrated new features and capabilities 
  33. based on requests and suggestions we have received from our users.

  35. What's new in Talking E-mail Version 1.2

  37. 1. Talking E-mail 1.2 reads messages in HTML and Rich text format. 
  38.    Version 1.1 had support for plain text messages only.

  40. 2. Easy configuration. 
  41.    We added a configuration wizard to help users setup their E-mail account information.

  43. 3. We added rules and filters. 
  44.    Talking E-mail 1.2 allows you to specify how a message will be treated based on 
  45.    the senders name or E-mail address. You can specify what will be said and which 
  46.    animation the character will play. You can also specify that for certain people 
  47.    you don't want to hear anything.

  49. 4. You can now customize the welcome message and the animation played.

  51. 5. You can specify which animation will play when a new message arrives.

  53. 6. There is an option that allows you to hear the time every hour.

  83. 1. The major difficulty users encountered in version 1.0 was to configure the 
  84.    E-mail account information. This includes settings like POP server, account 
  85.    name and password. Version 1.1 has a built iná detection of your E-mail account 
  86.    settings if your are using Outlook 98,á Outlook express or Netscape mail.

  88. 2. New feature allows you to specify the characters location on screen.

  92. 4. Version 1.0 was limited to 10 lines of the message text. We increased this

  98.    arrives Talking E-mail will mention that.

  101.    multiple times (an underline for example). It saves you from hearing the same 
  102.    character many times.
