  4. LATEST VERSION PATCHES

  6. You can now keep your MTE up-to-date by calling the MagicSoft BBS. 
  7. File Area 1 contains patches to update your version of MTE to the
  8. very latest.  The number for the BBS is 312-953-2366 (which is
  9. already in the MTE Dialing Directory).

  13. KERMIT SUPPORT
  14.  
  15. MTE 2.1 Add-Ons now support Kermit file transfer protocol and Kermit
  16. Client Mode.  The Kermit file transfer protocol will automatically
  17. appear in the File upload/download window.  To access Kermit Client
  18. Mode, press Alt-K from terminal mode.  Sliding windows (or
  19. Super-Kermit) is currently NOT supported.

  23. ADDITIONAL EMULATIONS

  25. VT-52 and CIS Vidtex terminal emulations have been added to MTE. 
  26. VT-52 is a DEC (Digital Equiptment Corporation) terminal and CIS
  27. Vidtex is used while online with CompuServe Information Services.

  29. CIS Vidtex must be specified as you terminal selection on CompuServe
  30. by typing "GO TERMINAL" and change your Terminal Type in the Permanent
  31. Terminal Setting area to "VIDTEX".  This emulation allows single
  32. ended file transfers using CIS B Plus file transfer protocol.

  36. 3708 PROTOCOL CONVERTOR
  37.  
  38. 3270/IBM3708 emulation has been added.  There are now two methods of
  39. emulating a 3270 terminal; using the 7171 or the 3708 protocol
  40. convertors.  The key map for 3708 is the basically the same as the
  41. 7171 with the following additional keys:
