STICKS.DOC
Have you ever displayed your computer to someone who knows nothing
about it. Well I certainly have and I wanted something to get them
involved. So I designed this little program that I called STICKS.
You can go on for hours (OK, maybe seconds) explaining how to
play the 'Pick-Up Sticks' game we all played as kids. That will certainly
get things going. Or tell them you have a new program that you can't
figure out what it does and maybe they can help you figure it out.
Now sit back and watch them try to figure out what the dancing STICKS
are doing.
Commands:
Home - Toggles screen saver mode ON/OFF. Colors change every minute.
END or ESC - Ends program.
UP ARROW - Increases foreground color. Disables Screen saver mode.
DOWN ARROW - Decreases foreground color. Disables Screen saver mode.
RIGHT ARROW - Increases background color. Disables Screen saver mode.
LEFT ARROW - Decreases background color. Disables Screen saver mode.
F1 - Set clock time. Must be in HH:MM:SS format!
F2 - Set alarm time. Must be in HH:MM:SS format!
F3 - Disable alarm. Default.
F4 - Enable alarm.
F5 - Disable chimes. Default.
F6 - Enable chimes. Strikes hours in 12 hour format!
F7 - Set 24 hour format. Does NOT strike hours!
F8 - Set 12 hour format. Default.
F9 - Set 'Binary Only' display. Can your friends figure out
what the moving sticks are doing?
F10 - Increase help level. First keypress puts colons on screen.
Second keypress displays the time at the bottom of the screen.
Sticks will auto detect a monochrome system.
