TrakMenu - TrakM386
One afternoon I unziped Trak Blaster v2.0, included in the Zip was
a file named TM-1 a menuing system for the Trak Blaster. More
about this later. Trak Blaster v2.0 was amazing. Beautiful VGA
graphics bouncing everywhere. I was in heaven.
When I regain consciousness and quickly thought TM-1. My thoughts
again fluttering about, a menuing system, no more 'trak
<songname.mod>.' Let us say it was about time! I thought to myself
this is great, and then I loaded it!!!!! If this ain't the cheezeist
Menu I is ever seen, this side of the universe!
I quickly went to work, and three count them One Two Three hours later
I had the product you see before you. Am I amazing? Ah, we think not.
Is this the most incredible menuing system ever written? I would have
to say no. Why? Why you might ask, well I will tell you.
Trak Blaster v2.0 takes up a lot of room when loaded, not to mention
the .MOD files take up 50 to 400K maybe more. Well I had to cut
corners to conserve memory and program space. So I only added
what I thought was necessary. I mean we have to have Exploding Windows
and Mouse support, and it should look like the programs were written
together, and oh yea It has to have functions that work.
Not like Mr. TM-1's Program where the second screen shows you the
Program's name from the DOS prompt and under Description is says
Unavailable, or something like that. Obviously Mr. TM-1 can't read
information out of a file.
TrakMenu
If you own a computer supporting 8086 or 8088 chip set, use this
version of the menu.
TrakM386
If you own a computer supporting 80286 or 80386 chip set, use this
version of the menu. It is slightly larger then TrakMenu but it
is specifically optimized to take advantage of the protected mode.
System Recommendations
Both programs function the same, so the following information applies
no matter which program you use.
Trak Blaster v2.0 really needs a 386 and VGA setup. However, you can
install it with different options if necessary. The TrakMenu will
check for a VGA card and Monitor automatically. If one is installed.
If it is not the menu will be displayed in text mode. (Text mode still
has Mouse and Exploding Menu support.)
Registration
We are asking that you send us $0.00 if you like the program. That's
right FREE!!!! Just enjoy the program and the music. If you feel
that you just have to send a Donation it's tax deductible and we
really appreciate it. You will also be included on our mailing list,
and informed of other menus, games etc... in the future.
