  1. Empire Builder Additional Setup Notes

  8. Resolution Settings
  9. -------------------
  10. For the best resolution to run Empire Builder we recommend you
  11. set it to 800x600 using Large Font.  The higher the colour
  12. setting the better, 256 or higher is best.
  13.  
  14. Date Settings
  15. -------------
  16. It is important for the successful running of the software to
  17. have the system's date setting to English (British) format.
  18.  
  19. The above settings can be made using your Control Panel.  Click
  20. on the Start button and select Settings and then select Control
  21. Panel from the submenu.  Click on Regional Settings icon to alter
  22. the date format and click on Display and then Settings to alter 
  23. the resolution.

  25. Reinstalling Empire Builder
  26. ---------------------------------
  27. Should you need to reinstall Empire Builder after you have 
  28. originally installed then you must first of all uninstall it from 
  29. your system.  To do this you must go to your Control Panel 
  30. (select the Start button and then Settings on the menu).  Then 
  31. select the Add/Remove Programs icon.  In the list of programs 
  32. that is now displayed select Empire Builder and then click on 
  33. the Add/Remove button.  When the UninstallShield software has 
  34. finished you may be given a message to the effect that some 
  35. components could not be uninstalled.  If you do get this message 
  36. you must use the Windows Explorer to manually delete the 
  37. elements that could not be uninstalled.

  39. In the directory where you installed the software (normally 
  40. \Program Files) delete the \Suresoft directory ie. \Program 
  41. Files\Suresoft.

  43. Ensure you have carried out the above before reinstalling the 
  44. software.  Failure to do so may cause some problems with the new 
  45. installation.
