  8. A camera is basically a box with a lens at one end and film at the other. Light reflected from a subject enters the camera through the lens, which focuses the rays of light into an image on the film. Light rays from the top of the subject make up the lower part of the image, and those from the bottom form the upper part. Thus, the image on the film is upside down.
