The Houston Astrodome, the round, domed structure in this photograph, forms part of a huge complex that includes an exhibition and convention hall and an arena. Completed in 1965, the Astrodome was the first baseball and football stadium to be entirely enclosed by a roof. At its highest point, the dome is 208 feet (63 meters) above the stadium floor.
