This document provides important information regarding
Bernard Of Hollywood's Pin-Ups for Windows that wasn't
available when the jewel case insert was printed. Please

A. CD-ROM caching
=================
To increase the speed of your program, you should use
SMARTDRV.EXE's CD-ROM caching. This option is available to
DOS 6.2. Here are the steps to enable CD-ROM caching setup:
1. In your "AUTOEXEC.BAT" file, Make sure that the CD-ROM
extensions program, CorelCDX or MSCDEX, is loaded before
SMARTDRV. For example:
C:\BIN\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /M:10
C:\WINDOWS\SMARTDRV.EXE /X /L 2048
2. Give SMARTDRV.EXE the default cache size of 2048K as shown in
the example above.
B. Improving Performance
========================
If you notice that your application is running slowly, setting
your video driver to 256 color mode may improve performance.
For further information on setting color mode, refer to the
documentation provided by your video card manufacturer.
C. Trouble Shooting
===================
1. Problems with application not displaying properly
----------------------------------------------------
If you are experiencing video display problems when using the
application, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your
video card for updated video drivers. If you have obtained and
installed the latest video drivers for your display adapter and
you still are having problems, please contact Corel Multimedia
Technical Support.
2. Problems with playback of video clips
----------------------------------------
If you are experiencing problems while you are viewing the video
clips, make sure that the QuickTime video drivers are installed
properly on your system. Installing Bernard Of Hollywood's Pinups
copies the required version of QuickTime to your system. Please
note that the video clips will display best at color settings
higher than 256 colors.
3. Screen colors incorrect after returning from screen saver
------------------------------------------------------------
If you have a screen saver that starts while Bernard Of Hollywood's
Pin-Ups is being displayed on screen, you may experience a problem
with incorrect display colors when returning to the application. If
this is the case, please shut down the application and disable your
screen saver from starting while you are using Bernard Of Hollywood's
Pin-Ups.
4. Date on Pin-Up Calendar shows up in different language
---------------------------------------------------------
The calendar date display on the main Pin-Ups screen will display the
date in the language that Windows is currently using. For example,
if you are using a German version of Windows, and the date settings
in windows is set for German, the date will be displayed in German.
Please verify your time and date regional display settings if this
is not the case. Please consult your Windows documentation for
further information on setting time/date regional settings.
