- ISHIDO
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯
-
- This program is a version of the game 'Ishido' which I first played on a
- Lynx. This program is shareware and may be distributed freely, as long as
- you include this file and as long as you do not make any changes in the
- program/source/textfiles.
-
- I have written this program about a year ago. I had played the game on a
- Lynx and liked it a lot. A few days later I had this program running. I
- played it for a while, and then forgot completely all about it. Until
- some friends of mine rediscovered it somewhere on my harddisk and really
- enjoyed the game! They suggested me to upload it to a FTP-site. Why not?
- Okay, so here I am, writing some textfiles to go with the program,
- explaining the rules etc. Please keep in mind that this program was not
- intended for world distribution and some of you may find it a bit
- primitive. Well, so did I when I saw this program running again after so
- long. I would like to make a fully GEM driven version (with improved graphics
- and 100% menu-driven), but this would imply a total rewrite, as I no longer
- program GFA. The next version would be in C. Besides that, I have 6 other
- programs waiting for the finishing touch.
-
- I am prepared to make a nicer version though if I get enough response of
- you guys. So if you like this program please send me a postcard.

- I have included the following files:
-
- ISHIDO.PRG the program
- ISHIDO.BAS the GFA source
- ISHIDO.LST the GFA source in ASCII format (for you out there who do
- not have GFA and would like to see the source, maybe to
- write a conversion to a better language)
- ISHIDO.TXT the rules of the game
- README.1ST the file you are reading this very minute!

- I have written this game on a 1040STFM, using TOS1.4 and compiling with
- GFA v2.0. The program is written for high-resolution. The program is
- certainly resolution dependant and I have no idea what the game looks
- like in med- or low-resolution. I have never run it on any other machine
- than on my 1040STFM, but I do not expect any difficulties. It should run
- fine on any machine in ST-high.
-
- Now read the rules and play this game! Hope you like it!
