- How to Use the Browser for Windows

- [Starting up]

- Open the CD-ROM drive from "MyComputer" and double click the "Browser.exe"
- icon.

- * Set your display to 256 colors or more.

- [Operation]

- - Scroll
- Click the click button to scroll one or four lines at a time.
- You can jump to a targeted destination using the scroll bar.

- - Display of Path Names
- A red frame appears around the material clicked and the path name of
- the low-resolution file (BMP File) will be displayed on the lower part
- of the screen.
- Click while pressing the [Shift] key to show the path name of the
- high-resolution file (JPEG File).
- Press Ctrl+C to copy the path name of the file.
- Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied filename. Use this function to paste
- a filename onto the Windows' [File Search] dialog, etc.
- Functions for calling images directly from the browser, or pasting
- images on the browser themselves onto the clipboard are not available.

- [How to Use Files]

- When capturing SOZAIJITEN images into other application software,
- first copy the file onto the hard disc and then capture them.
- Fifty files are recorded into CD-ROM folders JPEG2950, BMP640, PICT640,
- in numerical order respectively. On Windows, PICT files may be used
- only in applications supporting the PICT form. Select the file type
- according to the application, and copy the file numbered that you need
- to use onto an optional folder on the hard disc. For instructions as
- to how to capture images in application software, refer to the manual
- of the applicationsoftware concerned. Generally, select such menus as
- [Open File] or [Read File].
