- The purpose of the game is to clear the screen of dots
- while avoiding the nasties.

- However by eating one of the pulsating energy pills, the roles are reversed
- for a short time and you can gain points by catching the fleeing monsters.
-
- When the screen is cleared you proceed to the next level.
-
- Collect goodies, that appear every now and then, to gain bonus points.

- ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- Move around the Menu with the cursor keys, choose item either by the
- up and down keys or the first letter of your choice.

- At any point any time you can always return to the Menu by pressing ESC.
-
- If you exit from gameplay with ESC you can always continue your game by
- choosing CONTINUE.

- ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- The highscore table shows the ten best scores, the players name and the time
- and date the game was played.
- It also holds these entries for the last player ( or players if the last game
- was a two-player game ).
-
- The highscore table is contained in the file HIGHSC.CDM.
- If you want to start over with an empty highscore table you can simply
- delete the file and CD-MAN will create a new one with the current
- date and time and reasonably low scores.

- OBS! The highscore table will only be saved if you exit the game with the
- QUIT option in the menu!

- ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- If you press the spacebar at the highscore table you will see the
- statistics table.
-
- The entries are:
-
- Active game time - The time the game was actually played, that is the time
- spent in the menu, help screens and so on is not included.
-
- Screen / Level - The number of screens reached and the level on the
- last screen.
-
- Average speed - A measure of the average speed relatively to the other
- players.
-
- Moves made - Total number of moves made, one move being the distance
- between two dots.
-
- Monsters / Bonus - Total number of monsters resp. bonuses taken.

- Each screen has three levels.
- They differ in difficulty and bonus points.

- The agressiveness of the monsters increases as well for each screen.

- In this pre-release there is an endless life function for testing purposes.
-
- The endless life will only work in one player mode.
-
- At any point during gameplay you can press F1 ( that is the first function key )
- to gain endless life, you will still 'die' as usual but the number of lifes
- will not be decremented.
-
- If you press F1 a second time you will be mortal again and so on...
-
- There is no way ( exept dying ) to see what mode you are in, so you'll have
- to keep track of that yourself.
-
- At the start of a new game endless life is always off.
