  33.    As the exclusive copyright holder for this software, Rhode Island Soft         
  34.    Systems authorizes printed catalog, and electronic (BBS) on-line 
  35.    distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions.

  38.        o  The software package - including all related program               
  39.           files and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any          
  40.           way (other than that mentioned in the following paragraph)         
  41.           and must be distributed as a complete package, without             
  42.           exception.

  44.        o  Many BBSs customarily add a small text file                        
  45.           (advertisement) to each archived file.  This text file             
  46.           describes the BBS and tells people that the file was               
  47.           downloaded from that particular BBS.  Other BBSs add a             
  48.           small one-line message with their BBS name and phone               
  49.           number into the compressed file, which will display when           
  50.           the file is uncompressed.  Either of these methods of              
  51.           mentioning your BBS are acceptable and may be used,                
  52.           provided the program and documentation is otherwise                
  53.           unmodified and complete.

  55.        o  Small additions to the package, such as the introductory
  56.           or installation batch files used by many shareware disk
  57.           vendors, are acceptable so long as they identify themselves
  58.           as being added by the distributor, and not part of the software.

  60.        o  No price or other compensation may be charged for the software
  61.           package.  A distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the
  62.           diskette, shipping, and handling, as long as the total (per disk)
  63.           does not exceed US$8.00 in the U.S. and Canada, or US$12.00
  64.           Internationally.

  66.        o  In order to maximize resources, Vendors often provide several 
  67.           different programs/packages on a single disk -- this is perfectly 
  68.           acceptable to Rhode Island Soft Systems, Inc.  We require that
  69.           the software files be bundled in such a way as to be presented 
  70.           as distinct and separate from those of other packages.  Archiving
  71.           is a suggested method of  accomplishing this goal.

  73.        o  Rhode Island Soft Systems prohibits the distribution of            
  74.           outdated versions of the software package, without written         
  75.           permission from Rhode Island Soft Systems.  If the version         
  76.           you have obtained is over nine (9) months old, please            
  77.           contact us to ensure that you have the most current                
  78.           version. Please see the release date at the top of this file.

  80.        o  You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, 
  81.           or other literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".
  82.           Shareware is "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.

  84.        o  The software package CANNOT be sold as part of some other inclusive 
  85.           package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software 
  86.           packaging offer, without a written agreement from Rhode Island 
  87.           Soft Systems.

  89.        o  Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,           
  90.           decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or             
  91.           transfer the licensed program except as provided in this           
  92.           agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result in              
  93.           immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  95.        o  U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or                 
  96.           disclosure by the U.S. Government of the computer software         
  97.           and documentation in this package shall be subject to the          
  98.           restricted rights applicable to commercial computer                
  99.           software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the             
  100.           Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at           
  101.           252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The
