This scrolling field contains four setup icons: General, Screen, Keyboard, and Character Set. Click one of these icons to see the setup options for that category.
To specify the type of terminal you want your Macintosh to emulate, choose a terminal type from this pop-up menu.

To display a status bar at the top of the VT102 terminal emulation window, click this box. This bar is a substitute for the status lights that appear on a VT102 keyboard.

To display a tab ruler at the top of your VT102 terminal emulation window, click this checkbox. You can set or clear tabs using this ruler.

To make the text cursor a solid block, click this button.
When this button is selected, the text cursor appears as a solid block in the terminal emulation window.
To make the text cursor an underline, click this button.
When this button is selected, the text cursor appears as an underline in the terminal emulation window.
An answerback identifies your Macintosh to a remote computer. If your computer requires one, enter up to 20 characters here.
To set the width of the terminal emulation window to either 80 or 132 characters per line, choose an item in this pop-up menu.
To set the size of the characters displayed in your terminal emulation window, choose a font size from this pop-up menu.
To make text automatically wrap to the next line, click this checkbox. When the cursor reaches the end of a line, it will move to the beginning of the next line.
This option is not available because Show Control Characters is checked. As a result, when the cursor reaches the end of a line, it always moves to the beginning of the next line.
When this box is checked, text automatically wraps to the next line rather than writing over the last character on the same line. Click this checkbox to turn off automatic line wrapping.
To display white text on a black background in your terminal emulation window, click this checkbox.
When this box is checked, text appears in white on a black background. To display black text on a white background, click this checkbox.
To make text scroll smoothly, click this button.
When this button is selected, the text scrolls smoothly on the screen. To make text scroll one line at a time, click the Jump button.

When this button is selected, text scrolls one line at a time (in jumps). To make text scroll smoothly, click the Smooth button.
To insert text by writing over existing characters, click this checkbox. The cursor moves to the right as you type.
When this box is checked, inserted characters write over and erase existing characters. To insert text by moving existing text to the right, click this checkbox. Characters pushed past the right margin are discarded, however.
To display readable control characters in text, click this checkbox. Readable control characters do not perform their control functions.
When this box is checked, control characters are visible in text. To make them invisible and have them take effect, click this checkbox.
To move the cursor outside the scrolling region of your screen editor, click this checkbox. You must then send an escape sequence to the host for this option to take effect.
When this box is checked, you can move the cursor outside the scrolling region of your screen editor. To keep the cursor within the scrolling region, click this checkbox.
This option preview area shows the effect of selecting a text-related option, such as jump scrolling.
This scale indicates the maximum number of characters that will appear in a line of text displayed in the terminal emulation window.

When this box is checked, any character repeats when you hold down its key (except for Control-key combinations). To prevent keys from repeating characters, click this checkbox.

When this box is checked, control characters repeat when you hold down the keys used to generate them. To prevent control characters from repeating, click this checkbox.
To hear a click each time you press a key on the keyboard, click this checkbox.
When this box is checked, keys will click when you press them. If you don't want to hear key clicks, click this checkbox.
To use the arrow keys to move the cursor up, down, left, and right, click this button.
When this button is selected, the arrow keys move the cursor up, down, left, and right.
To have your DEC application control the action of these keys, click this button.
When this button is selected, your DEC application controls the action of these keys.
To use the keypad to type numbers, a comma, a decimal point, and a minus sign, click this button.
When this button in selected, you can use the keypad to type numbers and related characters.
To use the keypad to send escape sequences specified by DEC rather than the usual numbers, click this button.

To send a delete character when you press the Delete key (Backspace key on Classic keyboards), click this checkbox. Press both the Delete and Option keys to send a backspace.
