- Receivable Opening Balances (Historical Sales)
-
- Before you can use the Sales & Receivables command center, you must enter the
-
- sales that make up the balance of your linked receivables account. These are
-
- called 'historical sales' because they occurred prior to setting up the Sales &
-
- Receivables command center.
-
-
-
- Receivable Opening Balances are entered in Set Up M.Y.O.B.
-
-
-
- Displayed is a list of your customers with the historical sales entered to date.
-
- (If this is the first time you’re entering historical sales, the list is all zeros.)
-
- Click the arrow to the left of a customer's name to see a detail listing of their
-
- historical sales.
-
-
-
- The total of your historical sales must equal the current balance of your linked
-
- receivables account before you can use the Sales & Receivables command center.
-
-
-
- If the balance of your linked receivables account is not zero, enter your
-
- historical sales by clicking Add a Sale. See the help for Historical Sales
-
-
-
- When you’re done entering your historical sales, click Verify Opening Balances.
-
- M.Y.O.B. checks to see that the balance of your receivables account equals the total
-
- of your historical sales.
-
-
-
- If they don't equal, you must do one of two things: Add, change or delete (choose
-
- Delete Sale from the Edit menu) your historical sales OR change the balance of
-
- your linked receivables account. For instructions on changing the balance of
-
- your linked receivables account, see Set Up Receivables in Chapter GS 3 of your
-
- User's Guide.
-
-
-
- ÀáNote:Àá Once you've verified your opening receivables balances, this selection
-
- changes to Current Balances.
