GM Screen 2.1.1c is a SuperCard® Standalone application that offers a Game Master (one who runs a role playing game) a variety of useful tools. All of the functions of the GM Screen are described in an online help, but the main features are listed here, so you can decide whether to actually try the program.
•Electronic Dice Pad: Simulates most types of RPG dice (includes dice sound effect for striking terror into the hearts of the players...).
•Electronic Dice Strip: A compact version of the Dice Pad, when screen space is at a premium.
•Color Graphic Tools: Provides a draw/paint window with a full array of color tools. The window comes with several "sheets" of virtual paper to store graphics for later use.
•Multiple Text Windows: Provides multiple text windows for storing information. Each window includes multiple "sheets" of virtual paper.
•Multiple Note Pads: Provides small note pads for storing information, such as notes on character equipment, damage, and so forth.
•Adventure Loader: Provides the capacity to load in pre-written text adventures.
•Sound : The program has the capacity to record and play AIFF sounds.
PICS: The program has the capacity to record (includes graphic tools) and play PICS files.
QuickTime: The GM Screen 2.1.1c can be used to create (includes graphic tools) and play QuickTime movies (this feature, and only this feature, requires the QuickTime extension)
•Modules: The GM Screen is expandable via modules. A variety of modules are planned and owners of SuperCard can write their own.
•Full Color Graphics: The GM Screen 2.1.1c features hgh quality interface graphics.
•Improved File Handling: The GM Screen 2.1.1c now opens and saves files using standard file dialogs.
•Online Help:Help is provided for all main functions.
•Bug Fix:This version should work on large (20") monitors without memory problems.
•Sound Control:This version provides volume controls for the sound level.
Requirements
===========
This version of the GM Screen is designed to run in color and is optimized for use on Macs of all sizes (including PowerBooks and the Color Classic). It requires 966K of disk space and a minimum of 1600K of RAM. It requires System 6.0.4 or newer. The QuickTime features require the QuickTime Extension, but none of the other features do (so you can use it without QuickTime).
