  1. Question:  What is this?
  2. 
  3. Suzy:  !Menstat, the first in a new line of Macintosh software designed 
  4. to address women's heath issues, is a tool for estimating and tracking 
  5. different phases of a woman's menstrual cycle.
  6. 
  7. Question:  How did you come up with this and why?
  8. 
  9. Suzy:  After years of unsuccessful guesswork on my part to predict
  10. when my period would arrive, I asked Paco (The Brain) to get involved.
  11. He was a great help, but his process was too mathematical.  To make a
  12. long story short, I told him when I got my period and a few minutes
  13. later he could tell me when I might get it next.
  14. 
  15. I started to think about the women I knew, and came to the conclusion
  16. that they probably could use this too.  The problem was that only Paco
  17. could understand the program enough to use it.  So, we made it user-
  18. friendly.
  19. 
  20. Some important reasons to use this program are:  
  21. 
  22. Medical Records…  I went to the hospital once with an infection and
  23. they wanted to know when my last menstrual flow had been.  I tried
  24. to explain that I couldn't remember when that had been.  I was a REAL
  25. help!
  26. 
  27. No More Guess Work…  Less surprises.
  28. 
  29. !Warning:  One good reason not to use this software is for birth control.  
  30. Ovulation estimates are only approximate and  SubPhyllum  will 
  31. not take responsibility for the use of this product in conjunction with 
  32. the rhythm method.
  33. 
  34. One last reason that Paco & I created this software was to get people
  35. talking about issues such as menstruation.  It affects too many of us to 
  36. be kept as a taboo subject.
