This driver addresses some problems encountered with Netware 3.12 which would cause very slow file transfers from the server and also slow printing from a print queue on the server to a printer attached to the DL/2.

NETWARE v2.x
Dayna LocalTalk adapter cards require NetWare 2.15 rev C or any later release. Any previous revision will not work. We recommend that users upgrade to NetWare v2.2 or the current release. The newest software improves installation reconfiguration, administration and corrects known problems.
NETWARE v3.x
Dayna LocalTalk adapter cards are the ONLY LocalTalk cards compatible with NetWare v3.x and the Macintosh NLM (NetWare Loadable Module).
FARALLON PhoneNET TALK SUPPORT This information is described in Appendix D of the "DL/2 & DL2000 Users Guide".
With the addition of the Dayna Open DataLink Interface (ODI) driver, all of Dayna's DL/2, and DL2000 cards are compatible with PhoneNET TALK from Farallon. To install Dayna's drivers for use with PhoneNET TALK follow these steps:
1) Insert the NetWare Installation Disk (shipped with your card).
2) Change directories to the DOSODI subdirectory.
3) If you are using the DL2000, copy the DL2000.COM and the DL2000.DEF files onto the PhoneNET TALK Installation disk. If you are using the DL/2, copy the DL2.COM and the DL2.DEF files onto the PhoneNET TALK Installation disk.
4) Now follow the installation instructions in the PhoneNET TALK manual. When the installer prompts you for a driver to use, select the appropriate Dayna driver.
KNOWN PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS:
1. Under NETGEN the Dayna driver for Dayna LocalTalk cards doesn't appear as an option. The NCONFIG.EXE file on NetWare's AUXGEN disk needs to be updated. The correct version should have a byte size of 188,923 and a creation date of 8–17–89 or later. Novell should be contacted for an update.
2. Macintosh users cannot see the NetWare v2.x server. This often happens when a second card is added to the server. Whenever you change the configuration you must run MACINSTALL and MACSETUP. List the NetWare system directory to see that all VAPS are installed. If you have any questions contact Novell.
3. ELSII NetWare user's may experience difficulties creating more than one LAN on the server. The LCONFIG.DAT file supplied with ELSII should have a byte size of 118 and a creation date of 7–12–90 or later. For an update contact Novell.
