  1. Please, find enclosed a beta release of the new freeware MitoProt.

  8. Description      It supplies a series of parameters that permit theoretical
  9.                    evaluation on mitochondrial targeting sequences, as well
  10.                    as two hydrophobicity related parameters that are important 
  11.                    for predicting the putative importability of a protein into
  12.                    mitochondria.

  15. Notes            This first software release is compatible with all the
  16.                    Macintosh computers I have tested, having system 6.0.2
  17.                    or later. In the future, I will develop a FPU version.

  20. MitoProt 1.0 has been designed for Macintosh computers, using 
  21. THINK Pascal 4.0.2. If someone is interested in making a version
  22. compatible with other platforms, he may contact me.

  24. MitoProt is supplied “as is”: it comes without any warranties, express or 
  25. implied, of any kind, including fitness ofr purpose and merchantibility. 
  26. The author will not be liable for any damages whatsoever caused through 
  27. the use of MitoProt, being they incidental, consequential or otherwise. 
  28. You may find some bugs too, or things lacking which should be included. 
  29. If you have comments, I would like to know them, but I do not assure to 
  30. be able to fix them.
