Astaire could dance anywhere. It was all the same to him whether he
was doing a production number on a vast studio sound stage, or
improvising on a twelve-foot stretch of duckboard in a smoke-filled
club. Either way, he was the best mover in the business

Astaire was an innovative choreographer as well as a brilliant dancer. In Royal Wedding, for example, he devised a surreal routine in which he danced on the walls and ceiling while singing "You're all the world to me"
