You will need to enter the start and end date for the desired range of sunPATH calculations. Enter the dates (month/day/year) directly into the “smart” edit fields (entry boxes) or make a selection from the special “pop up” menus.
“Smart” Edit Fields
All entries are forced into a standard (North American style) date format MM/DD/YY. In most cases, this field can translate entries into their numeric counterpart. If you enter F, the field translates it to “02/” since February is the only month that begins with the letter F. If a J is entered, the field waits to see if the next key is A in which case it knows the month will be January or continues to wait for a U to see if the entry will be June or July.
Numeric entries are also acceptable. For instance, pressing 6 as the first character would put “06/” in the field. The field will limit you to the correct number of days for each month. You may force the division character (“/”) by pressing a non-numeric key. So “2.2.95” would become “02/02/95”.
Because of the “smart” features of these fields, you can not edit only a part of the field, you must select and change the whole field (e.g., You must select the whole date “12/02/95”, not just the day “/02/” for any changes).
FROM Date Pop-Up Menu
You may select the start date with the pop-up menu. You may choose Today, Tomorrow or a “day of the week.” The “day of a week” selection will place the next occurrence of that day into the field. A calendar option is also available, see below.
TO Date Pop-Up Menu
You may select the duration for the date range in days, weeks or months from these two menus. The calendar option is also available. The maximum duration allowed for calculations is 185 days or six months.
Calendar
The calendar option is available in both the From and To menus. This option displays a calendar, allowing you to select the desired date. The arrow buttons at either side of the month and year, move the calendar forward and backward. The arrow at the bottom right corner, returns the calendar to today’s date. To accept the date you have selected, press the Return key or click on the date at the top of the calendar.
