  323.  This option allow you to specify which
  324.  files to extract from the compressed
  325.  file. You may specify more the one
  326.  filespec when the prompt appears.  Wild
  327.  cards are allowed.

  329. *altf    !!freshen-from-list!!
  330.  This option allows you to FRESHEN files
  331.  in the compressed by displaying a list
  332.  of files in a window.  After the window
  333.  is displayed you tag the files to
  334.  FRESHEN by pressing the space bar.
  335.  After all files have been tagged press
  336.  the ENTER key to process the tagged
  337.  files.
  338.  
  339. *altg   !!search for string!!
  340.  This option allows you to search all ,or
  341.  only tagged files, for a specific string of
  342.  characters using the program SGREP.COM
  343.  (Which must be in a directory in your PATH
  344.  statement). If no files are tagged then all
  345.  files will be searched.  After the search is
  346.  completed to results will be listed on the
  347.  screen. A normal or Regular Expression
  348.  search may be performed.  Regular Expression
  349.  searches are always case sensitive!!!!!
  350.  
  351. *altm   !!move-from-list!!
  352.  This option allows you to MOVE files
  353.  into the compressed by displaying a list
  354.  of files in a window.  After the window
  355.  is displayed you tag the files to MOVE
  356.  by pressing the space bar.  After all
  357.  files have been tagged press the ENTER
  358.  key to process the tagged files.
  359.  
  360. *altn  !!extract newer!!
  361.  This option will extract ALL or TAGGED NEWER
  362.  files from the compressed file into the
  363.  current DISK:\DIRECTORY or the one specified
  364.  via the ALT-P command.
  365.  
  366. *altp  !!!get_extract_path!!!
  367.  This options allows you to specify a disk
  368.  and directory of where any extracted files
  369.  will be placed.  Specify the extract path as
  370.  follows:
  371.  DISK:\DIRECTORY
  372.  Pressing any key other than the ENTER key
  373.  will clear the extract path. To display a
  374.  directory window enter ONLY a DRIVE LETTER
  375.  FOLLOWED BY A COLON, then press the F9 key.
  376.  A single * may be entered to tell SHEZ to
  377.  use it's floating extract location
  378.  logic.
  379.  
  380. *altr !!rename highlighted!!
  381.  The ALT-R command allows you to rename the
  382.  currently hilighted file in the compressed
  383.  file. You will be prompted for a new name.
  384.  
  385. *alts   !!speed_srch!!
  386.  Speed search allows you to find a file
  387.  in the compressed file quickly.  After
  388.  the window pops up enter a standard DOS
  389.  file search pattern and press the enter
  390.  key.
  391.  The display will be repositioned to the
  392.  first or next file that matches the
  393.  pattern.
  394.  
  395. *altt  !!toggle tagged display line!!
  396.  Pressing the ALT-T keys will toggle
  397.  the tagged file display line at the
  398.  bottom of the screen.

  401.  This option allows you to UPDATE files
  402.  in the compressed by displaying a list
  403.  of files in a window.  After the window
  404.  is displayed you tag the files to
  405.  UPDATE by pressing the space bar.

  408.  files.

  411.  This option will display the master
  412.  comment record and the file comment
  413.  records for the selected compressed
  414.  file.

  417.  This option will extract ALL files from
  418.  the compressed file into the current
  419.  DISK:\DIRECTORY or the one specified via
  420.  the ALT-P command.

  422. *alty   !!run pgm on tagged!!
  423.  This option allows run a program against
  424.  all tagged file(s).  You will be prompted
  425.  to enter the program name to run, the
  426.  parameters to pass to the program, if you
  427.  want SHEZ to swap itself out of memory when
  428.  running the program, and if you want SHEZ
  429.  to pause after each execution of your
  430.  program.
  431.  
  432. *altz  !!virus check!!
  433.  This option will check files to see if they
  434.  have been infected with a virus.  You must
  435.  have the virus checking program from McAfee
  436.  Assoc. call SCAN.EXE version 39 or greater,
  437.  and have used the configuration program to
  438.  tell SHEZ where to find SCAN.EXE.

  440.  IF FILES ARE TAGGED SHEZ WILL ONLY CHECK
  441.  THE TAGGED FILES FOR INFECTION.

  444.  This option will toggle the authenticity
  445.  option when using PKZIP version 1.1 or
  446.  greater.  If the authenticity mode is
  447.  toggled on a ! will appear next to the
  448.  [FILE LIST] window header on the main
  449.  screen or next to the NAME field on the
  450.  compressed file contents screen.
  451.  
  452. *c  !!create-new!!
  453.  This will allow you to create a NEW
  454.  compressed file.  You will be prompted
  455.  to enter the
  456.  DISK:\DIRECTORY\FILENAME.EXT of the
  457.  compressed file to create, whether you
  458.  want to add or move files into the new
  459.  compressed file, and the DISK:\DIRECTORY
  460.  of the files to add and/or move to the
  461.  new compressed file.
  462.  YOU MUST SUPPLY A FILE EXTENSION FOR THE
  463.  FILE TO BE CREATED.  SHEZ CURRENTLY WILL
  464.  ALLOW YOU TO CREATE ZIP,ARC,ZOO,LZH,PAK
  465.  HAP, and UC2 files!!!!!
  466.  
  467.  You will also be asked if you want to
  468.  TAG files to be added/moved or process
  469.  the entered file spec as is.
  470.  
  471.  If the compression program you choose
  472.  supports saving path information you will
  473.  also be asked if you want to save
  474.  directory information, and if you want to
  475.  recurse the directory tree.
  476.  
  477.  If you are converting from a ZIP to an ARJ
  478.  or a ARJ to a ZIP file you will also be
  479.  asked if you wish to preserve volume label
  480.  information that can be stored inside the
  481.  compressed file.  (THIS OPTION WILL ONLY
  482.  APPEAR WHEN CONVERTING THE CURRENTLY
  483.  HIGHLIGHTED FILE.  IT WILL NOT APPEAR IF
  484.  RUNNING UNDER OS/2.)
  485.

  487. *ctld  !!delete tagged!!
  488.  This option will delete all tagged files
  489.  from the compressed file.  You will be
  490.  asked to verify the delete before the
  491.  files are actually deleted from the
  492.  compressed file.
  493.  
  494. *ctle  !!extract tagged!!
  495.  This option will extract all tagged
  496.  files from the compressed file.
  497.  
  498. *ctlenter  !!alternate viewer!!
  499.  This option will activate the alternate
  500.  file viewer if one has been defined in
  501.  the SHEZ.EV external file.
  502.  PLEASE SEE  THE USER MANUAL FOR
  503.  INSTRUCTIONS ON SETTING UP AN
  504.  ALTERNATE VIEWER.
  505.  
  506. *ctlt  !!update compressed time and date!!
  507.  This option will set the compressed
  508.  file's time and date to the time and
  509.  date corresponding to the newest file in
  510.  the compressed file.
  511.  
  512. *ctlu  !!untag all!!
  513.  This option will untag all currently
  514.  tagged files.
  515.  
  516. *ctlsp  !!tag all files!!
  517.  This option will tag all files in the
  518.  currently displayed window.
  519.  
  520. *ctlv  !!convert sfx files!!
  521.  This option will convert a self
  522.  extracting file back to its native
  523.  compressed file format. The self
  524.  extracting file will remain untouched.
  525.  The normal compressed file will be
  526.  built on the same drive and directory
  527.  where self extracting file is found.
  528.  
  529. *ctly  !!copy members to another arc!!
  530.  This option allows you to copy all
  531.  tagged files from the current compressed
  532.  file into another compressed file.  The
  533.  target compressed file may be any
  534.  currently supported format.
  535.  
  536. *ctlx !!exit to extract dir!!
  537.  This option will exit SHEZ and will
  538.  drop you off into disk and directory
  539.  that is specified as the extract
  540.  location.
  541.  
  542. *d  !!delete one file!!
  543.  This option will delete the currently
  544.  highlighted file from the compressed
  545.  file. You will be asked to verify the
  546.  delete before the delete is actually
  547.  done.
  548.  
  549. *e  !!extract one file!!
  550.  This option will extract the currently
  551.  highlighted file onto the default disk
  552.  drive and directory, or the
  553.  DISK:\DIRECTORY that was specified via
  554.  the ALT-P command.
  555.  
  556. *f      !!freshen!!
  557.  Using this option you can specify the
  558.  file(s) you wish to FRESHEN in the
  559.  compressed file. You may enter multiple
  560.  filespecs in the entry window.  Wild
  561.  cards are allowed for filenames and file
  562.  extensions.
  563.  
  564. *f10  !!to-dos!!
  565.  This option will temporarily exit to
  566.  DOS. You may then execute any DOS
  567.  command.  To return to SHEZ
  568.  enter EXIT at the DOS prompt and press
  569.  the return key.
  570.  
  571. *af10  !!to-dos to extract_path!!
  572.  This option will temporarily exit to
  573.  DOS and will drop you into the extract
  574.  directory. You may then execute any DOS
  575.  command.  To return to SHEZ enter EXIT
  576.  at the DOS prompt and press the return key.
  577.  
  578. *f2    !!switch_arc!!!
  579.  This option prompts for a new DRIVE:\PATH to
  580.  change to.  You may also specify a filename
  581.  and file extension if you wish. Wild cards
  582.  in the name and extension are allowed. IF
  583.  YOU ENTER A FILENAME OF $ AND A FILE
  584.  EXTENSION OF $ SHEZ WILL DISPLAY ONLY THE
  585.  ARCHIVE FILES THAT ARE FOUND IN THE
  586.  SPECIFIED DIRECTORY.
  587.  I.E. C:\WORK\$.$
  588.  You can also pop-up a directory tree window
  589.  by press the F9 key. When the tree appears
  590.  you may press the letters C-Z to obtain a
  591.  directory tree of a different drive. You may
  592.  also enter a DRIVE LETTER FOLLOWED BY A
  593.  COLON, before pressing the the F9 key.
  594.  
  595. *af2 !!smart extract
  596.  This option will invoke the smart extract function.
  597.  Smart extract will analyze the list of tagged
  598.  files and will attempt to fill the target
  599.  drive.  If all files will not fit on the target
  600.  drive a message will be displayed and the files
  601.  that could not be copied will remain tagged.
  602.  
  603. *f8  !!edit!!
  604.  This option will allow you to edit a
  605.  file in the compressed file.  This
  606.  option will only work if you specified
  607.  an editor to use when you configured
  608.  compressedPER.
  609.  
  610. *f9    !!!get_sort!!!
  611.  F9 allows you to indicate how to sort
  612.  the list.
  613.  ALT-F9 allows you to specify the sort
  614.  order for each sort type. The sort
  615.  order specified will remain in effect
  616.  until you exit SHEZ or re-specify.
  617.  
  618. *fact  !!!compression factor!!!
