Minotaurs are large humanoids that have the head and chest of bulls. They are very strong and can wield weapons. They may also use their head to either bite or gore. Minotaurs are strictly carnivores and tend to live in caves.

The king of the palace at Knossos on the island of Crete, during religious ceremonies would wear a head piece that resembled a bull's head. Also, the palace at Knossos has a very complex layout. This is probably the source of the of the folklore surrounding the minotaur and his labyrinth. The Greek myth is this: a large man with the torso and head of a bull lived on the island of Crete. The people of the city of Athens were forced to pay King Minos a tribute of seven young women and men. These were then fed to the minotaur. This minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus.
