Illustrated in Photoshop 3.0. Starting from a scanned black and white photograph, I colored the picture on a layer using paths and the color function and then applied a Gallery Effects filter on another layer. I then applied a gradient from the KPT Gradient Designer module over the area of the effect.
THE LIZARD KING
Illustrated in Photoshop 3.0 with a little help from KPT filters. The trick to that one was, using the curves and levels, to contrast the picture as much as possible and then apply a texture from the KPT Texture Explorer with an opacity value, therefore creating the illusion that the texture was mapped over the picture.
BORIS AND IGOR
Illustrated in Photoshop 3.0 and Painter 3.0. These two lovely cats are color photographs converted to black and white, then to a tritone and finally to CMYK. Some lighting effects where added in with Painter 3.0.
