Displays the last four alarms or error messages (fewer if you've restarted recently), and allows you to copy them. If you don’t have your Newton constantly by your side and easily audible, you might miss an important reminder or error message. Now—if you can remember to do so—you can find out what you missed.
Of course, you could read (but not copy) the last three messages by undoing twice and trying to undo a third time, then tapping the Up Arrow, but you might not know that, or might not want to undo twice.
I wrote this because after a long Connection Kit 0.9 back-up, I’d have to walk several steps to my server to check whether the last message said the back-up was successful.
I haven’t implemented scrolling (not many error messages are long enough to warrant it), but the Overview button will give you a list of message headers. It also shows the free memory figure given by stats(), which is generally less than the figure given in Prefs.
Freeware; source, what little there is of it, on request. Thanks to Kent Sandvik of Apple for the Text List sample code.
