The "acur Picker" file included with this document contains an animated cursor, or 'acur', resource picker. You need ResEdit 2.1 or better for this to be of any use to you.
The 'acur' resource is simple a list of cursor IDs. It is a convenient way to store what order to animate which cursors and keep track of which one is currently displayed. ResEdit has a template for 'acur' editing.
To install this picker, open up the "acur Picker" file with ResEdit and copy everything in it. Open ResEdit itself and paste the resources in it. Don't overwrite any resources within ResEdit: use unique IDs.
Now open the file "Sample acurs." Open the acur type picker and you'll see the cursors that are referenced within that acur. If for some reason the picker can't get a cursor resource, it will display a gray box in it's place. Also, it only uses cursors in the file the acur is in.
This picker does everything that I need to do. If you want me to add something else, have some ideas, bug reports (gasp!), etc., just send me some sort of mail (Email included) telling me what you think. Even if you think it's just fine the way it is, send me some mail to show some support for it.
