This is a control panel / system extension that makes window updating happen all at once instead of as the application draws items. It fools you into thinking everything runs faster. To use it, just drop it into your System Folder (System 7 or later required).
This was written quickly and submitted to the hack contest at MacHack '93, and as such it has not been very well tested. It does not affect drawing to the Desktop or to plain GrafPorts (black and white windows). The control panel setting is not saved between reboots. Think C source is included (you will need to use the control panel file itself for the non-code resources). It uses code from "The Essential Hack" which was on the MacHack '92 CD. If you don't like the idea of patching your system with an INIT, you can use the code to implement the smooth updating inside your application.
