The Keyboard Switcher™ is a system extension which enables you to view a list of all active applications or switch to any active application using keyboard commands only (i.e. no mouse selection is required).
The primary keyboard command is control-spacebar (press the spacebar while holding down the control key). This action will cause a list of all running applications to appear on your screen. This list will remain displayed as long as the control key and spacebar are held down.
The list will show a check mark next to the active application, and will also show all control-keyboard (the ^ symbol means control) keys which can be used to switch to another application. The display is very similar to the pull down application menu, except that it adds a function which lets you switch to the next application in the list by pressing control-tab.
If there is only one application currently running (typically the Finder), the list will not show any of the application switching keys, as they are not applicable.
The bottom item in the list is the About... selection (control-/). This selection will display a dialog telling you that Keyboard Switcher is shareware, written by me, and telling you how to get the registered version of the product. The shareware registration fee is $10, which seems a small price to pay for the convenience of being able to switch between apps from the keyboard. You may use Keyboard Switcher for 14 days to evaluate its usefulness. If you plan to use it after that time, you are requested to send in your shareware fee to support future maintenance and enhancements to the product.
