Welcome to SetAtapiSpeed!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
GENERAL
SetAtapiSpeed allows to adjust the access speed of the atapi.device,
ad_atapi.device and tandemat.device.
This is required because some CD-Roms are slower than others and because
of timing flaws in different hardware designs.
USAGE
If you wish to adjust the speed of the atapi.device, type:
SetAtapiSpeed name.device unit speed
where name.device stands for the different atapi flavours and unit for
the CD-Rom unit to be modified.
Speed may be any value between 0 and 3, where 0 is the slowest and 3 is
the fastest access speed.
If you do not enter a speed value, SetAtapiSpeed will tell you your
current setting.
The default for the atapi.device is speed 3; for all other versions it is
speed 1.
If your CD-Rom works with speed 3 you should put a SetAtapiSpeed command
in your user-startup file (with the QUIET switch set.
E.g.: SetAtapiSpeed atapi.device 2 3)
If your CD-Rom only works with a slower speed as the default, put
SetAtapiSpeed in your startup-sequence before the CD-Rom is mounted.
CD32-EMULATOR
The CD32-Emulator now has an "in-built" SetAtapiSpeed. Look at the Menu
Item Atapi->Speed. The default is always 0, set the optimal speed for your
drive.
IMPORTANT!!!
A1200/A4000 using IDEfix and/or atapi.device with the internal IDE Port
should set this to 3 for best performance!!!!
That's it!
