  123. ===== Installation =====================================
  124.  
  125. The installation procedure for Windows Gourmet is quite simple.  The
  126. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  127. entire process.  You will need about 850k of available disk space
  128. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Windows Gourmet.
  129.  
  130. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  131. Windows Gourmet.
  132.  
  133.  
  134. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  135.  
  136. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  137.  
  138.    o  Place Windows Gourmet distribution diskette in the appropriate
  139.       diskette drive.
  140.  
  141.    o  Select File|Run from the Program Manager and execute the
  142.       "SETUP" program on the distribution diskette.
  143.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  144.       "a:setup".
  145.  
  146.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  147.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  148.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  149.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  150.       the Windows Gourmet files to that directory. It will make no other
  151.       changes; specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or
  152.       config.sys files.

  155. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  156.  
  157. If you downloaded Windows Gourmet from a BBS (or received it in the form 
  158. of
  159. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  160. following steps.

  162.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  163.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  164.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  165.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  166.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  167.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  168.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  169.       the package.

  171.    o  Select File|Run from the Program Manager and execute the
  172.       "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For example, if
  173.       the temporary directory into which you have extracted the
  174.       Windows Gourmet package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the
  175.       command, "c:\tempdir\setup".
