- Hybrid Arts librarian programs are now capable of running directly
- from a hard disk, with no master disk needed in drive A:, provided
- you have the Hybrid Arts Sync Box (supplied with the MidiTrack
- programs SyncTrack and SmpteTrack) hooked up.
-
- The libarian programs included are GenPatch ST, and the December
- 1986 (or later) updates of DX-Android and CZ-Android. (If you
- have an earlier version of one of these programs, be sure to
- contact Hybrid Arts for information about obtaining an update.)
-
- Since these programs are designed to be used even without the Sync
- Box, they normally assume that if the Sync Box isn't connected,
- you have the master disk in drive A:. If neither case is true,
- they will not run correctly.
-
- The problem can occur if you normally do depend on having the Sync
- Box connected, but you disconnect it temporarily (to use a modem,
- for example) and then forget that it's still disconnected when you
- go to run one of these programs. They find neither the Sync Box
- nor the master disk present, and do not work properly.
-
- The solution to this problem is to put this file (or ANY file
- named "SYNCBOX") on the root directory of the drive(s) from which
- you run GenPatch, DX-Android, or CZ-Android. ("Root directory"
- means NOT inside a folder.) When these programs find the file
- "SYNCBOX", they will prompt you if the Sync Box isn't connected,
- giving you a chance to reconnect it before they continue (much
- the same way as SyncTrack and SmpteTrack do).
