In this folder are songs produced with SimpleSong that can be "sung" using SimpleText or any other text-to-speech compatible text editor. They can also be opened in (and edited from within) SimpleSong.
IMPORTANT!:
Make sure that you have the Speech Manager (version 1.4 or newer), Macintalk 3, and the various Macintalk 3 voices (in a folder called "Voices") in your Extensions folder before trying out these sample songs. If you have a "Speech" control panel, set the default voice to one of the following:
You may also choose one of the above voices from within SimpleText itself.
If you have none of these voices available, then your computer is not currently configured to work with SimpleSong songs. Check your system software CD for "Speech", "Text-to-Speech", or "TTS". The entire English Text-To-Speech package is also downloadable from Apple; obtaining this will allow you to install the Macintalk 3 extension and voices. See the SimpleSong home page (URL below) for more information.
What, no sound? Check to make sure you have the volume turned up on your computer. Use the "Sound" or "Monitors and Sound" (OS 8) control panel.
