  1. HHsYUVSq sequence/animation saver GIO module (V3.1) for Photogenics
  2. ============================================

  4. -> This animation creation module for Photogenics may only be distributed
  5.    together with the FastUniversalGIO module! <-

  7. This module can be used to create animations with Photogenics in the
  8. famous HHsYUVSq sequence format. For playback of such animations you
  9. can use:
  10.  
  11.  a) CyberTVPlayer (Freeware) (available e.g. on Aminet gfx/board)
  12.  
  13.   Can play such animations in HiColor/TrueColor like quality on CyberGraphX
  14.   HiColor/TrueColor Workbench.
  15.   Can play such animations in reduced color (2 to 256) on any Amiga Workbench
  16.   if at least OS3.0 is available.
  17.   CyberTVPlayer plays animations direct from disk and can thus be used
  18.   to play animations of any size! For faster speed you could copy small
  19.   sequences to RAM: before playing them.

  21.  b) EGSTVPlayer (Freeware) (available e.g. on Aminet gfx/board)

  23.   Can play such animations on EGSDefault Screen in conjunction with the
  24.   EGS graphic environment (TrueColor/HighColor or reduced color).
  25.   EGSTVPlayer plays animations direct from disk and can thus be used
  26.   to play animations of any size! For faster speed you could copy small
  27.   sequences to RAM: before playing them.

  29.  c) EGS-TV Professional (Shareware) (available e.g. on Aminet gfx/board)

  31.   Can edit and play such animations (insert frames, append frames, delete
  32.   frames; special effects "Blue Screen Keying" etc).

  34. Status of this module: This module is "Bonusware" which means that it is
  35. a free bonus product for registered UniversalGIO module users. It is delivered
  36. as part of the new UniversalGIO release. If you are not yet registered for
  37. my UniversalGIO, this module will create sequences only in greyscales,
  38. so please support shareware and register for my UniversalGIO module now...
  39. (see HHsFastGIOModule.readme for details about registration).

  41. Using this module:

  43.  a) Create a new sequence
  44.  
  45.   Just save the picture which you want to become the first frame of your
  46.   animation with the HHsYUVSq.gio saver. In the file requester you should
  47.   select a new filename. The GIO module will then try to create a sequence
  48.   with this name.
  49.  
  50.   Important: Image dimensions are limited! Only even wide images can be
  51.   used to create a sequence; the image wide must be in the range 80..360.
  52.   The image height must be in the range 64..310!
  53.  
  54.   If you have a collection of much bigger images you can use the new
  55.   downscaled loading option of my UniversalGIO loader module to get the
  56.   images in downscaled form into Photogenics quickly...

  58.  b) Append a frame to a sequence
  59.  
  60.   Just save the picture which you want to append to an animation with the
  61.   HHsYUVSq.gio saver. In the file requester you should select the filename
  62.   of the animation to which the frame should be appended.
  63.  
  64.   New: If you have at least Photogenics V1.2 you can select "Prefs" options
  65.   for the saver: an option allows to make file name selection permanent; if
  66.   this is selected, the file name of the sequence will only be requested
  67.   once (as long as the saver module is not flushed out of memory), enabling
  68.   you to simply append frames by calling the saver. If you want to change
  69.   the file name later, you first have to deselect this Prefs option. This
  70.   option should be esp. useful if a future version of Photogenics becomes
  71.   available with ARexx support, so that automatic appending of multiple
  72.   frames becomes possible...

  74.   Important: You can only append images of the correct size to a sequence.
  75.   Differently sized images can not be saved in one sequence. Please scale or
  76.   crop the images to the size of the first frame in the sequence.

  78. Special note for EGS-TV users: You can load and edit sequences created with
  79.  this module with EGS-TV as well. In the other way this is only possible if
  80.  the sequence is of the right kind (color,sequential mode,half frame/LoRes).
