  3.         Back-house Solitaire is an addicting card game,  that can be tricky
  4.      at times.  It is named 'Back-house' because originally, the game is to
  5.      be played from the bottom of the deck.  The objective of Back-house is
  6.      to complete each hand leaving the least amount of cards in the hand as
  7.      possible. At the beginning of each hand, you will be dealt four cards.
  8.      Consequently,  throughout the entire game you will only see four cards
  9.      at a time, unless you have used the Split option, which I will discuss
  10.      later.

  12.         There are three different ways to play cards: Play 4 Cards,  Play 2
  13.      Cards, or Split the Hand.  Each option has its own specifications.  To
  14.      Play 4 Cards the two END cards must be the same rank.  To Play 2 Cards
  15.      the two END cards must be the same suit. When Splitting your Hand, the
  16.      two MIDDLE cards must be the same rank.

  18.         When splitting the hand, you are not starting another hand, you are
  19.      merely playing the same hand with two rows, thus giving opportunity to
  20.      make more plays.

  22.         If no plays are available, press ENTER to draw a new PLAY card from
  23.      the deck. When no cards are left in the deck and there are no plays to
  24.      make, then select the [Q]uit option from the menu.

  26.         Note, you must ALWAYS have at least four cards in your hand to make
  27.      ANY play.   If you get to a point where there are less than four cards
  28.      in your hand, that hand is over.

  30.         When the deck is exhausted the hand is not over, the game will tell
  31.      you  that cards may now be drawn from the BEGINNING of your hand.  For 
  32.      example,  if you have  26 cards in your hand and none in the deck, you 
  33.      will be  permitted to draw cards,  one at a time from the BEGINNING of 
  34.      the hand and place them at the end of your hand, trying to make plays.

  56.         Each card that is played is worth 100 points.  So when you play two
  57.      cards, you score 200 points, playing 4 cards gives you 400 points, and
  58.      splitting the hand yields no points.  As you play more cards, you will
  59.      get bonus points.

  71.         There are several options available during play of the game.  Below
  72.      is a listing of the options and their functions.

  74.                [ENTER]  Draw Card      When there are no plays, press
  75.                                        ENTER to draw a card from the deck.
  76.                 [2] Play 2 Cards       When the two END cards are the same
  77.                                        suit, pressing 2 removes the middle
  78.                                        cards.
  79.                 [4] Play 4 Cards       When the two END Cards are the same
  80.                                        rank, press 4 to play all four cards.
  81.                                        Use R to redraw the screen.
  82.                [SPACE] Split Hand      When the two MIDDLE cards are the same
  83.                                        rank, press SPACE to split the hand.
  84.             [H]elp  [S]cores  [Q]uit   Press H for Instructions & S for scores.
  85.                                        Press Q when the hand is finished.

  87.         You will notice these options in the lowest box on the left side of
  88.      the screen. Directly above the OPTIONS box is the DAILY SCORE info and
  89.      user statistics.  On the right side of the screen, below the cards you
  90.      will see the card stats. This will keep track of the CARDS LEFT, CARDS
  91.      PLAYED and CARDS IN YOUR HAND.   The TIME IN - TIME OUT Stats and Info
  92.      concerning Hands Played/Hands Left, are at the bottom of the screen.

  96.         Besides keeping track of Monthly scores,  Back-house Solitaire also 
  97.      has these additional features. Daily Scores feature tallies the scores 
  98.      for an individual day that you select.  Daily Champions  feature shows 
  99.      the highest score for each day of the month. When registered, the game
  100.      also has a calendar for missed days, as well as an ANSI/ASCII bulletin
  101.      generator.
