Unzip the CallNo distribution ZIP into a directory of your choice.
Edit the file CALLNO.CFG to suite your needs - a sample file, SAMPLE.CFG,
is included.
CALLNO will find your SYSINFO.BBS and CONFIG.RA file in the RA environment
variable.
Run 'CALLNO.EXE <Line Number>'.
Running Caller Number without the line number will default to a file called
CALLNO.ANS/ASC in your TextFiles directory as defined by RemoteAccess.
To use Callno, setup your TOP.MNU in RemoteAccess as follows -
│***│ Execute │ C:\RA\CALLNO.EXE *N
│***│ Display │ C:\RA\TXTFILES\CALLNO*N
You may change which security level etc. as per your systems needs. The
paths may obviously need changing.
A note on how CallNo calculates the Caller Number is necessary.
RemoteAccess stores the TOTAL System Calls in the SYSINFO.BBS file, and
only updates this *after* a caller has logged off. So, if 5600 system calls
were recorded, the next caller number should be 5601 - if one just reads
SYSINFO.BBS, it would obviously be incorrect, so you need to add at least
one.
CALLNO goes one step further, however. It also determines how many users
are currently online, and adds that amount accordingly. So, if 3 users are
already online and the SYSINFO.BBS contained 5600, CALLNO will correctly
display Caller Number 5604

Special thanks to Mark May of Mythical Kingdom Software for writing and
releasing MKMSG, which is used in this software to create the sysop and
user messages. Without this source, messages would be severely limited
(I can do Hudson, but haven't sat down for some JAM yet :))
