What's New in BBSee since Version 2.1
1. Pseudonym catalog option to catalog labels independently from the
volume label.
2. Added an option to prompt for cataloging in archives.
3. Significantly changed catalog file conversiion utility.
Amalgamated the various disk catalog conversion utiliites into one
new program, CATCON.EXE, on the BBSEE##C.ZIP disk. Added support for
Wssindex, DiskTrak and CUDM, in addition to improving support for
CatDisk and InteliCat. Interface improved as well.
4. Improved Cross reference function to report in volume order to allow
more flexibility. Cross reference now also functions against the
Upload and Archive directories in addition to the disk catalog.
5. Fixed bug related to recataloging/uncataloging of disks.
6. Additional features/Enhancements/Fixes see the History file.
What's New in BBSee since Version 2.0
1. New Catalog Reports
New catalog reports are available under the Make Catalog Report
option. These are:
a) Multi-Column report. This report produces fast catalog reports,
in from one to nine columns, designed to get the most out of
paper. Five columns will fit in 132 columns, if you compress your
print.
b) Extension report. This report produces catalog reports sorted in
extension order. The extension is separated from the filename for
easier viewing.
c) Date report. This report produces catalog reports sorted in
ascending or descending order by file date.
d) Duplicate report (by Volume). Another catalog duplicate report
has been added which will report sorted by disk volume, to make it
easier clean-up disks.
Because of option changes resulting from the above enhancements, the
window to change catalog report features has been move under the
Make Catalog Report sub-window. It is no longer necessary to access
it with <Ctrl-R>.
2. Expanded 4DOS description limit.
Increased BBSee's capability to handle new extended length 4DOS
descriptions, on input and output. Output length is configured in
BBSetup - Miscellaneous.
3. Default PCBoard conferences.
Modified BBSetup/BBSee to allow each PCBoard conference to have a
different default conference number if required. This is in addition
to the 15 other conferences supported.
4. Added support for Boyan Wildcat macros.
Ronald Cronewett's Boyan macro's to access Wildcat BBS's can be used
for uploading and downloading. To configure this, modify the BBS
type in BBSetup from AUT to WC3 for the appropriate BBS's. Lee
Breeden's macros will continue to work for the PCB type.
5. Fill bugs identified.
There were bugs related to the Fill function, which I introduced
after I first put this feature into beta in September. I had made
changes to some variable names in the program and forgot to correct
some condition tests. Although Fill instelf was working, some of the
options did not perform as indicated, (my particular configuration
worked fine). Sorry for any confusion.
These features come from user input. Keep the input coming.
