  5.                      INSTALLATION/UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

  8.   **** This version of The Blue Wave Mail Door has been shipped with a
  9.        file called BWDOOR.USE.  This is a text file tutorial that can be
  10.        put online for users to download.  A full explanation of the use of
  11.        The Blue Wave Mail Door is contained within this file, along with
  12.        tips, tricks, and hints on effective usage.

  15.   NEW INSTALLATIONS
  16.   -----------------
  17.   The procedure for new installations is outlined in BWMAIL.DOC, enclosed
  18.   with this archive.

  21.   UPGRADING FROM V3.00 or V3.01
  22.   -----------------------------
  23.   Simply replace the executable files found within BWMAIL.ZIP (BWMAIL.EXE,
  24.   BWMAIL.OVR and BWUTILS.EXE) with those already on your system.  You
  25.   should also read the file WHATSNEW.302 to find out what changes were made
  26.   since v3.00.

  30.   UPGRADING FROM V1.00, V1.02, or v1.99A Beta to V3.02
  31.   ----------------------------------------------------
  32.   If you have installed The Blue Wave Mail Door for RemoteAcces, you must
  33.   run the conversion program CVTTO302.EXE from your main BLUEWAVE
  34.   directory. The BWMAIL.PRM file structures have changed, as has the
  35.   structure of the BWMAIL.USR file and the OVERRIDE.BW file.
  36.  
  37.   After running the conversion program, be sure to copy the entire contents
  38.   of BWMAIL.ZIP into your BLUEWAVE directory.  There are no files contained
  39.   within that archive that should not be replaced. New help screens and
  40.   .EXE files are enclosed.  You can delete the file CvtTo302.Exe after you
  41.   have executed the conversion program.

  43.   After conversion, you may also delete BWDUPES.DAT.  The mail door no
  44.   longer uses this file to track duplicate messages.  A new file called
  45.   BWDUPES.IDX will be created to handle duplicate messages.  (The
  46.   conversion program will probably handle the BWDUPES.DAT deletion for
  47.   you).

  49.   Please read the WHATSNEW.302 file to become familiar with all of the new
  50.   features and functions in The Blue Wave Mail Door.  You will need to
  51.   carefully examine the fields with the BWUTILS setup program to verify
  52.   that all new options are set to your liking.
