I have a lot of New Users, so I decided to change some of the prompts in
PCBTEXT to make them a little more understandable to those who are nervously
navigating my BBS.
By using your MKPCBTXT, you can change any of them back to the original or you could customize them, for your own board.
Also, included are some additional files which I use in place of the PCBTEXT defaults. If you use the additionals, make sure you go into PCBTEXT and change the paths if necessary. I keep the additional files in a c:\PROMPT directory. When using the substitute files, % must always preceed the path of the file in PCBTEXT!
There are a few prompts which you MUST change to fit your board. They are: 54 154 and 271.
I run a small event three times a day which automatically changes record number 259. The three changes are: "Good Morning! Enter your first name:
"Good Afternoon! Enter your first name:
"Good Evening! Enter your first name:
I have included three batch files which change the prompts if you want to make the changes. MORNPMT.BAT AFTERPMT.BAT EVENPMT.BAT Of course, if you use them as events, change the extensions to the Node which will run the event i.e. MORNPMT.001 for Node 1. I include them in other event batch files. If you use them alone as events, you must add the return to the node or to Board.
Most of the alternative files are taken from custom prompts issued by other authors.
