Documentation for NEWFILES V2.0H/091593 by Andy Gruenenwald
-----------------------------------------------------------
NEWFILES is a utility program that will generate a set of bulletins (ANS/
ASC) that contain a list of files uploaded to your BBS in the last nnn days.
NEWFILES is intended for Powerboard 1.25 or 1.25a. It has not been tested
with other versions.
FORMAT:
NEWFILES [/D:nnn] [/B:mm]
where "nnn" is how old a file can be before it is dropped from the list
(i.e. 15 = files 15 days old and younger will be listed). Default = 15.
and "mm" is the bulletin number. Default = 0.
NEWFILES must be placed into your main BBS directory (C:\BBS or whatever).
NEWFILES works by first looking at your LOGS\UPLOAD.0 file to get a list of
files uploaded recently. It them looks at your AREAS\FAREA1.BBS and all
FILES\FILES.BBS files to locate where the recently uploaded files have been
placed.
NEWFILES will create two files: BULL<bulletin number>.ANS and
BULL<bulletin number>.ASC. For example, if you type "NEWFILES /B:4" then
NEWFILES will create BULL4.ANS and BULL4.ASC. If you omit the bulletin number
on the command line, NEWFILES will create BULL0.ANS and BULL0.ASC.
NEWFILES will place the bulletin files it creates in the DISPLAY\ directory.
