- Chaplin Data Base Help
-
- ================================================================
-
- 1. Listing the Data Base in date order
- When Prompted to input a starting point. Inputing a date in the format
- [mmddyyyy] or [mmddyy] will start listing from that date on.
-
- 2. Listing the Data Base in Actress Order.
- Entering an actress's name when prompted for a starting place will start
- QRDB listing from that name on. Try Edna Purviance or just Edna.
-
- 3. Browse List In Released Order.
- As in .1 above, when Prompted to input a starting point. Inputing a date
- in the format [mmddyyyy] or [mmddyy] will start listing from that date
- on. This Function lists data one record per line it will only display as
- much of a record as will fit on one line. When a page has been displayed
- you will be given the option to continue, quit or display a complete
- record.
-
- 4. Listing the Data Base in date order W/Memos
- Same as in paragraph 1. above except all memo's associated with a record
- are listed.
-
- 5. Display a Memo
- Enter a memo number obtained from a record displayed in on of the lists
- and that memo will be displayed. Try 81/2.
-
- 4. String Search
- You will be prompted to Input a Search String or a pair of words. The
- dual word search works like this, input a pair of words seperated by a +
- sign such as, Norman+Sennett. QRDB will search each record in the Data
- Base for your search string or a match for your pair of words. Searching
- for the Release Date is not practical as it is stored in dBase format.
- Use the Browse or List function instead. When listing files QRDB
- converts from the dbase format to MM/DD/YYYY for you.
-
- 5. Pause Page Toggle does just that. Once Toggled off, data will be
- displayed without stoping until the end of database is reached or
- until (D)one is pressed.
