-
- Command Description
- -------------- ----------------------------------------------------------
- Help Displays this help information.
-
- List Accounts Allows you to view a brief listing of other user accounts.
- This is good for obtaining the spelling of a user name in
- case you'd like to use the Transfer Time feature. This is
- also handy if the sysop has enabled Robbing Other Players.
- If so, this will also tell you whether or not that user is
- able to be robbed from.
-
- Deposit Time Allows you to deposit time into your account for use at a
- later date. The Sysop defines how much time a user may
- deposit per day. If you attempt to exceed this amount,
- RATS will tell you about it.
-
- Also, you may not deposit your full time remaining balance.
- You may deposit all but 5 minutes of your online time or
- until maximum defined deposit is reached (whichever comes
- first).
-
- Withdraw Time Allows you to withdraw time from your account. The Sysop
- defines how much time a user may withdraw per day. If you
- attempt to withdraw more than this amount, RATS will tell
- you about it.
-
- Also, you may not withdraw an amount of time that would
- allow you to over-step an upcoming System Event. RATS
- will keep track of this as well.
-
-
- Transfer Time Allows you to transfer time from your account to another
- users account. This time is drawn out of your current
- balance, NOT your online time remaining. The Sysop defines
- how much time you can transfer per day.
-
- Any user who has time transferred to their account, will
- receive a brief message the next time they logon informing
- them who transferred the time, and how much time was
- transferred.
-
- Deposit K-bytes Allows you to deposit kilobytes for use at a later date.
- If the maximum depositable k-bytes are defined at 200,
- and you have not already downloaded any of this K, then
- 200 k-bytes will be available for deposit. If you have
- already downloaded some kilobytes, then the maximum that
- you can deposit will be the maximum defined value minus
- the number of kilobytes you have already downloaded on
- that day.
-
- Withdraw K-bytes Allows you to withdraw kilobytes that were previously
- saved.
-
- Transfer K-Bytes Allows you to transfer bytes from your account to another
- users account. K-Bytes are drawn out of your current
- balance, so you must havve K-Bytes stored in the bank.
- The Sysop defines how much time you can transfer per day.
-
- Any user who has bytes transferred to their account, will
- receive a brief message the next time they logon informing
- them who transferred the bytes, and how many K-Bytes were
- transferred.
-
- Purchase K-bytes Allows you to purchase kilobytes with time you have
- previously banked. The exchange rate and daily number
- of K-bytes you can purchase in a day are defined by the
- Sysop.
-
- Display BankBook You may view all of your transactions for the previous
- number of days configured by the sysop.
-
- Credit Department If you wish to Borrow Time or K-Bytes, that the SysOp has
- these features enabled, you may borrow a predefined amount
- of Time or KBytes from the bank. There is a one time
- interest charge, defined by the SysOp, and it is added to
- the amount of your loan. Example, say interest rate is 10%
- and you borrow 100 minutes. You will owe the bank 110 min.
- If you owe the bank Time or KBytes, then it will show up
- as a number in brackets beside your balance on the main
- screen. You may Pay Back the loan from this menu as well.
-
- NOTE: There are a number of options available to the sysop
- as to how to make users pay back the loans.
-
- 1) He may run a utility when you log onto the BBS to
- force you to play your loan payment, optionally
- logging you off the BBS if you do not.
-
- 2) You may be forced to make the payment when you
- enter the time bank, and optionally not allowed
- to use the time bank until you make your daily
- payment.
-
- 3) The sysop may elect to automatically have your
- payment made from your daily time remaining each
- night during maintenance.
-
- Rob The Bank/Other Players
-
- The sysop may allow you to Rob the Bank, and even Other
- Players.
-
- Robbing The Bank
- The sysop configures the cost, and odds of robbing the
- bank, along with the payoff. The cost of robbing the
- bank is deducted from your bank account, and payoffs are
- made to your Bank account.
-
- Robbing Other Users
- The Sysop may allow you to Rob other Users. If enabled,
- when you enter RATS for the first time, you will be asked
- if you wish to participate in User Robbery. If you say
- NO, then you may not rob other players, nor may they rob
- you. If you say YES, then you may rob other users who
- have also answered Yes, and you may be robbed from by
- them.
-
- The Cost of robbing another user, and the odds of doing
- so successfully are configured by the sysop. If you fail,
- then the COST is added to the other users banked time and
- bytes. If you succeed in robbing the other player, then
- you will take 50% of his/her banked time and bytes.
-
- Lottery If the Sysop allows the lottery games, you may play the
- QuickPick, Daily, or Monthly Lottery. See lottery info
- in the lottery screen.
