Version 2.80 released 03-1993
- Minor tweak to the source. Carrier detection is now disabled during
all tape drive access. There were, on rare occasions, lockup's when
a user would drop carrier during tape drive activity.
- Minor change to the video select routine, now the routine simply
toggles back and forth between ansi and ascii. Minor change, but a
nice one just the same.
- The log file is no longer optional. I decided to do this in order to
streamline some source code and allow better control of some of the
options provided in the TAPEDOOR.CFG file.
- TAPEDOOR 2.80 submitted to the SDN project for national distribution.
Version 2.70 released 02-1993
- This version of TAPEDOOR now supports the MoDem Corner JukeBox
harware. The JukeBox is a tapedrive array consisting of up to
16 Colorado Memory Systems DJ-10 or DJ-20 tapedrives. Interested
sysops should freq the magic file: JUKEBOX for further information.
Version 2.60 released 01/30/93
- This version of TAPEDOOR is the full featured "registered version".
- Able to restrict user by ;number of downloads, times called, time
on line, etc.
- Fixed major bug in MAKEVOL that did not allowed detection of more
than one tapedrive volume. SORRY!
- More comprehensive logging
Version 2.00 released ????????
- This version of TAPEDOOR uses LESS memory than all previous
versions. By linking in and using QBSWAP, all but 4k of the TAPEDOOR
program is swapped out of memory to make room for the call to
TAPE.EXE. Simply put, this is a wonderful improvement...
Version 1.70 released 01-11-93
- More menus brought out to displayable files. Sysop can now customize
to his delight.
- Minor improvement in error checking.
- Support most protocols that support BATCH file transfers similar to
DSZ. Protocols may be specified in an external file.
- Minor bugs squashed...
- TAPEDOOR source now linked to QBSER300 and PBCLONE for cleaner
programming.
======== Registered copies of TAPEDOOR have the following options enabled
- Extensive color support
- Control over the number of files restored and downloaded
- Control over the maximum allowed time in door
Version 1.60 released 12/19/92
- This version has ansi and ibm graphics capability in the registerd
version.
- Fixed a very major bug in RESTORE.EXE that did not correctly
calculate the drives that some files were residing on.
- Provide for SYSOP created/edited menus.
- Provide for limited number of restores/downloads per call in the
registed version.
- Provide for limited number of minutes per call in the registed
version.
- This version still does not have extensive error checking and still
relies on the sysop to correctly edit the TAPEDOOR.CFG file.
Version 1.5 released 11/23/92
- Cleaned up some code
- This version uses less memory during tape operations
Version 1.0 released 10/10/92
- The project begins!
The very latest version of TAPEDOOR will be made avilable at the end of each
month and mey be collected by FREQ'ing the magic filename of: TAPEDOOR
