Version 2.0 - November 7, 1991
Calls Satistics in a 24 Hour Format
For UltraBBS 2.0x and Pcboard 14.5 Software
Author: Walter Marques
PortugalSoft, 1991
What is TimeStat ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TimeStat will create a bulletin that will display in a 24 hour format the %
of calls to your BBS.
TimeStat will create both a ASCII and a ANSI bulletin.
How can it be used ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is really very simple. Start by copying TIMESTAT.EXE, TIMESTAT.CFG to
some directory of your hard-disk (you can create one called TIMESTAT). Next
you will have to configure your TIMESTAT.CFG for your BBS Software.
Here is an example of the TIMESTAT.CFG file:
EXPRESS BBS <--- Name of your BBS (up to 30 characters)
XXXXXXX <--- Registration number or leave XXXXXXX
UBBS <--- Either 'UBBS' or 'PCB145' BBS Systems
ENG <--- Either (ENG)lish or (POR)tuguese language
2,1,7,3,5 <--- Colours used.
219 <-- Ascii character value for the graph bars
C:\UBBS\FILES\BLT14 <--- Path and name for the ASCII bulletin
C:\UBBS\FILES\BLT14G <--- Path and name for the ANSI coloured bulletin
C:\UBBS\FILES\CALLER1 <--- Path and name of the Callers Log.
If you are running a Multiple Node System, just continue adding lines to the
CFG file with the path and names of the other callers Log.
Example:
C:\UBBS\FILES\CALLER1
C:\UBBS\FILES\CALLER2
C:\UBBS\FILES\CALLER3
Etc...
If you prefer to use separate bulletins in each node, you can also configure
several .CFG files as the example:
TIMEN1.CFG ---> CFG file for Node 1
TIMEN2.CFG ---> CFG file for Node 2
In this case, you must run TIMESTAT with a Command Line like this:
TIMESTAT TIME1.CFG
TIMESTAT TIME2.CFG
■ By choosing PCB145 BBS system, TimeStat will create a PCBANSI file instead
of the normal ANSI.
■ You can costumize the colours of your ANSI/PCBANSI bulletin.
Here's how it can be done:
Parameter 1 ──────────────> TIMESTAT Version 2.0, PortugalSoft, November 1991

When and where should TimeStat be called ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the TimeStat task may be a bit slow, it is better to run it only once
a week. But it's up to you! You can also call it from the BAT file you use
to start your BBS or configure it as a daily event.
If you have created a special directory for TimeStat, here is just a example
of how it could be done (include the lines somewhere inside the BAT file you
use to start your BBS):
CD C:\TIMESTAT <--- Switch to TimeStat's directory
TIMESTAT <--- Execute the program
CD C:\BBS <--- Return to your BBS directory
TimeStat is Shareware
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can copy TimeStat to friends or Upload it to BBSs, so long as no charge
is made for the Software and you always include all the supplied files,
unchanged and archived together.
It took me a lot of time to fine tune TimeStat, in order to provide you with
what I hope to be bug-free Software. If you start using TimeStat in your BBS
and would like to help support my work, a donation of US$7 would be much
apreciated. If you send the donation, please use the REGISTER.FRM file
supplied. Then I will send you by mail your registration number.
This registration number will avoid the annoying [UNREGISTERED] phrase
randomly placed in the bulletin.
