V1.00 Compiled 3/26/90
- A war on Detroit has begun

- Full Snitch Menu added - Search for players, houses, ect.

- Fixed bug on house invasion routines
- Fixed bug on turns - now when you have 0 turns you REALLY can't move
- Added new druglord welcome message
- Full fledged gangs are now in the game
- Added a display file routine that REALLY pauses every 23 lines
- Took out Plastic Explosives from the game - your already to dangerous
- Full weapons introduced - Grenades, Tear Gas, Law Rockets, ect.
V1.15 Compiled 11/13/90
- Unloaded more bugs than humanly thought possible
- Took out the MAP4000.TXT file. Added new routines that
randomly generate a street map layout for every time the
games data files are initialized. Now every map is always
unique to that of the map used by any other bbs.
- Total Data File Creation runtimes are now
8088 8mhz processor 81ms HD : 39 seconds
80286 12mhz processor 28ms HD : 14 seconds!
V1.20 Compiled 11/23/90
- Think we have nailed almost all the bugs out
- Added EMS support for the Overlays
- First release to run open to the public on my bbs
- Have a completed maintance program to run on this version
- Still playing with color problems on boot up. Have wrote a temporary
fix program that modifies the DorInfo.Def file before the door looks at
it.
- Have changed some default values for cost at street 1
- Modified the runtime error handler to output message to both the local
and remote screens so users can help us find more errors and fix them
- Added the numeric information filter for users to use in the game. Now
sysop can't "spy" on users locations or values of certain items they have.

- Fixed bug in default buy and default sell displays when in a drugstore
V1.25 Compiled 11/25/90
- Fixed bug with free mules when taking or leaving inventory at a house
- Fixed bug with maintance when deleting inactive players, they really are
deleted
- No High man hunt in maintance unless there are at least 5 active players
- Added store names into an array in the creation routines in the overlay to
speed up file creations
- Fixed bug in death routines. When you die crack houses that might be yours
in streets 1-7 are also removed and not left hangin in the game
- Fixed bug so that when you kill another druglord system doesn't crash on
you if you inherit more than one crack house from his empire
- Fixed another bug from when you inherit houses from another druglord that
you kill you also become owner and don't have to attack them to gain access
- Removed house file packer from maintenance and put routines in overlay to
always file gaps in house data file so it is always packed
- Put in command letter so users could 'really' toggle numeric info filter
- Fixed File not Open error on opening a new crack house sometimes (Thanks
to THE MASTER PYSCHO)
- Fixed bug on when you die ALL your crack houses are removed from ALL
streets now (Again thanks to THE MASTER PYSCHO)
- Now when you kill another DrugLord most of his possesions on him are also
transfered to you (Thanks to DANIEL GARDNER)
V1.30 Compiled 12/7/90
- First BETA Release to Hunter's Chase
- Lowered some prices in general configuration for campaign headquarters
- Made house menu a prompt and use ? for full output instead of full listing
all the time
- Made changes so you can't name your crack house ' ' or 'NONE'
- Lowered initial house inventory levels since they were outrageous
- Fixed bug, now when you search for your dealers, it really searches the
streets you asked for
- Added warning in door when your time left drops below 10 minutes
- Status of numeric filter is now given when you toggle it
- People owning limos now also benefit in a slight turn reduction in the
number of turns needed vs that of a cab
- Added benefit that new Druglords entering the game will be given a
free Crack house in a random location to start them on their way
V1.50 Compiled 12/25/90 - Merry Christmas all!
- Fixed bug with dying by pitbulls/dealers
- When attacking houses with weapons entering 0 aborts instead of attacks
- Small Message system has been added
- Sysop Configurable Time Limits have been added
- Maintanence harshness has been toned down some
- You can now sell your inventory at street 1 for cash
- Hitting return when in store/house now enters default max amount for ya
- National Bank of Detroit added in street 3 at 5% interest
- Headquarters in street 1 now is an expert mode prompt with ? for help
- Range Checking for leaveing dealers/pitbulls in streets now in effect
- Bug fixed so now you can really buy what you can afford in street 1
- Bug in new user routines fixed, now hangups shouldn't trash the data files
- Added ability to try to rob the bank in street 3
- Changed the whole rankings system - now it is VERY fair and VERY accurate
- Compiled with new DoorDriver v3.0 routines (up from 2.6)
- /c startup option replaced with DRUGLORD.CTL configuration file
- Added house name checking to avoid repetitive names
- When sending snitch to another street it now also tells you what other
streets are connected to that street
- Fixed Maintanence bug so now you really get your 5% interest in the bank
per day
- Added a macro definition function activated by CTRL-N
- Added color configuration internal to Druglord. DoorDriver doesn't
process some info correctly so I have configured the door with nice colors
such as the status line, and prompting colors.
- FOSSIL support in now available and has been tested on my bbs with no
problems. If your using a FOSSIL DoorDriver will automatically sense
this and the FOSSIL will be used instead of the internal comm routines
- Fixed big bug in maintanence in crashing when deleting inactive users
V1.55 Compiled 12/29/90
- Full house status lising report added in Snitch Menu
- Added a writeln in the news output to keep it looking "right"
- Now when you Create/Join/Quit a Gang it is reported in the news file
- Sending a snitch to a occupied street now doesn't get him killed
V1.60 Compiled 12/30/90 - I know only 1 day later
- Did MAJOR range checking overhaul using 64 bit floating reals so that
inventory levels can now max out at 2 billion instead of 2 million and
that they will not exceed 2 billion falling off range into a 2 billion
negative number. Only can use large reals to do this and it sure as hell
wasn't fun, blew my whole day!
- Production limits also changed now to a max of 500,000 up from 200,000
- That's all folks, two options, but MAJOR workers, thought they deserved
their own version.
- Fixed the FINAL bug in the rankings! (God I hope there are no more)
- Fixed major bug in Gang data files getting trashed
V1.65 Compiled 1/10/91
- Fixed bug in house invasions allowing anyone on any team to enter house
- Installed some antibottleneck fighting routines to severely cut fight times.
No fight should take over 20 seconds now even at 2 bil dealers vs. 2 bil
dealers. Before just 20 MIL against 30 MIL took 12 minutes!
- Now if you want to attack and destroy a crack house you own yourself it
won't launch a counterattack on you. BUT it still will attack any team
member of yours, only YOU yourself can attack your own house without
counterattack.
V2.00 Compiled 1/15/91
- Released first public version
- Fixed floating point overflow bug with bank deposits.
V2.10 Compiled 2/9/91
- Fixed bug with you losing mules when you attacked another druglord and
won and you had 65000 mules already
- Added Sanctuary in street 4 to protect small druglords
- Added a lottery at logon to help give more "get rich quick" chances to the
little guy
- Made many internal data file changes to make room for upcoming options
and future changes
- Added a rankings output bulletin at logoff for bbs's to use as a bulletin
- Added a set of macro utilities so users can save up to 3 macros and swap
between them and be able to save them between logons
- Added a give/take all option for crack houses to take all dealers/pitbulls/
tear gas/grenades in one keystroke.
- Fixed bug when running out of turns in your house you would end up getting
65000 turns and losing all your cash
- Fixed bug in when you died and the new rankings bulletin was outputted
the game crashed and never took you out of the game hence, you couldn't
die anymore!
V2.11 Compiled 2/17/91
- Massive internal changes made to accomodate game expansion. These changes
also were in the 2.10 version partially. During these changes to much
procedure nesting happened and was causing stack overflow errors on some
machines during program file creation. Most of those internal changes are
done now and have been adjusted as to fix the stack overflow error. This
error doesn't occur on my machine but on some it does. Recent
changes in this version should eliminate that error.
V2.15 Compiled 3/13/91
- Removed bug in maintainence that didn't remove inactive players from
the street they were in when they were deleted.
- Crack house names now appear in yellow so that they can be distinguished
much easier.
- More bottle neck routines put in during a druglord vs. druglord battle
(option 5 on the weapons menu) so that battles don't take 10 minutes.
- 2 billion rankings limit imposed to be able to log off in street 4
- All internal and header changes have been made to massively streamline and
clean up many code calls from the overlay. Hopefully the stack overflow
error is gone now from these changes.
