  6. Finally, an online 'cyberpunk' game that comes close to
  7. portraying computing as depicted in classic cyberpunk
  8. works like Neuromancer by William Gibson.  In this game
  9. the player is a NetRunner, an arrogant and bold futur-
  10. istic hacker.  Armed with his cyberdeck and an arsenal
  11. of offensive, defensive and analysis software he's
  12. ready to invade corporate systems in the grid and raid
  13. their credits, for fame and fortune!  It's no cakewalk
  14. though!  Waiting for the unwary are Intrusion Counter-
  15. measures (IC).  Machine controlled defenses that can
  16. inflict damage to hardware and software, steal the
  17. players own credits and even cause... death.
