  16. From William Gibson's _Neuromancer_ to Walter Jon Williams'
  17. _HardWired_ to Norman Spinrad's _Little Heroes_, the (perhaps
  18. unfortunate) label of 'Cyberpunk' has been applied to a specific style
  19. of science fiction.  This CyberPainting is set in such a heavily-armed
  20. future, depicting an act of civic duty in the early 21st century.

  22. This is cel-type animation created with CyberPaint 2.0 and Degas
  23. Elite.  Individual limb movements were created by clipping and
  24. rotating, re-sizing and re-drawing intermediate positions.  Much was
  25. done manually (gun and arm positioning), some (head movements) by
  26. merging seperatly made sequences.  Movement across the screen was
  27. created with a simple ADO effect.  Gun and explosion effects were hand
  28. drawn on the appropriate frames.
