This document contains additional information as well as supplemental technical information about any hardware conflicts and compatibility problems in Asteroids for Win95/98 that came to our attention after the completion of the Asteroids Manual. Items not covered in this file can be found in the technical help.
This software has been tested on the majority, but not all, computer systems and configurations. We have attempted to resolve issues as much as possible, but it is possible you may experience video or audio problems with certain configurations. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for technical assistance or to obtain the latest drivers.

-Please make sure you have the latest drivers from your video and audio card manufacturer.
This game requires the latest DirectX6 100% compatible drivers.
If your card is supported in D3D, you must have the latest DirectX6 100% compatible drivers.
The game does not support reference drivers, make sure you use your audio or video manufacturer's latest drivers.
1.0 Video Card Information and Recommended Video Card Settings
-If you have a primary and a 3D secondary video card, you will get a "Select Direct Draw Device" dialog box. Make sure you select the 3D card which you want the game to use in HARDWARE mode. Selecting your 2d card might cause a crash if you select HARDWARE mode inside the game.

We have experienced some cards, such as the Hercules Thriller, having trouble displaying translucent textures. Due to this, problems may occur playing the Classic Asteroids bonus game.
