  8. Hello Folks!

  10. This is a brief movie review by my friend Itono Taisuke in Japan.  I've
  11. included his whole experience during his movie trek. You can tell he's a
  12. dedicated fan!  My own comments will be prefaced by the '//' symbol.
  13. Be aware that there is various spoilers contained in this review, so if 
  14. you don't want to have your viewing experience of the new KOR movie spoiled,
  15. then don't read it. You have been forewarned!

  18. //The Adventure and Ordeal...

  22. //Note that this is a Friday night before the start of the opening tomorrow!
  23. 1996.Nov.1 (Fri) cloudy.
  24. 20:10   Arrived to Shinjyuku Toei Gekijyou.
  25.         <There were 6 waiting people.>
  26. 21:00   <There were about 10 waiting people.>
  27. 23:00   <There were about 30 waiting people.>

  29. 1996.Nov.2 (Sat) rainy !!       //Wouldn't you expect it? Murphy's law...
  30. 00:30   <There were about 40 waiting people.>
  31. 01:20 or 30     2 man staffs of Toho (movie distributer) on their way to
  32.         home presented us (waiting people) cans of hot coffee !!
  33.         (There were no hot coffee in vending machines after they left.)
  34. 03:00-04:00     <There were about 50 or 60 waiting people.>
  35.         I found the line become L-shaped.
  36. 05:30   <There were about 80 waiting people.>
  37. 06:30   <There were more than 100 waiting people.>
  38.         2 women staff of Genesis D.P.C came to hand leaflets of "Comic on 
  39.         Vol.2" . There were other 5 people seemed to be their fellow.
  40.   //Ahh, so the comic on Vol.2 CD will be forthcoming. That's good news!
  41. 07:00   I found the line become U-shaped.
  42. 07:30   The staff of the theatre posted the notice.
  43.         Its content is as following:
  44.         1. They decided to use the Shinjyuku Toei Gekijyou.(*** Shinjyuku Toei
  45.          Paras 2 had been planned. / cf. This theatre has more than 600 seats
  46.          but Toei paras has only 340? seats.) 
  47.         2. T.Furuya, H.Tsuru and E.Hara is going to come to give audiences
  48.          a greeting. 
  49. 08:48   <There were about 300 waiting people.> //300 waiting in the rain!!!
  50.         The ticket window opened and about 20 people went to buy tickets sold
  51.         on the day.
  52. 09:00   The door was opened , and I got [celu-ga](the picture on a celluloid
  53.         seat) of Hikaru in swimsuit.
  54.         (Celu-ga was for the first 100 arrivals.) 
  55.     //Itono-san was among the first 7 people in line!
  56. 09:00-10:40     The musics in the hall were "Day Dream" and " Don't be afraid"
  57.         performed by Agua.
  58. 10:40-12:25     <Movie> 
  59. 12:25-12:50     <Greeting by 3 interpreters and an interview with them>

  61.         T.Furuya's words to be noted:
  62.         (at the last of Kyosuke's famous monologue on TV series
  63.          = "Hitotsu no deai ga....". )

  65.         "Kasuga Kyosuke 19-sai . Yatto Otona ni naremasita !!"
  66.         (Kasuga Kyousuke 19 year-old. Somehow I became a man / grown-up.)

  68.         The meaning is.....
  69.         1.      Somehow I could lost my virginity.
  70.         2.      I had been 18 year old for about 5 years.

  72.         Almost all of audiences must understand it in 1. , I think.

  80.  I spelled his name [Kyousuke] , but it is [Kyosuke] in leaflet.
  81.  (On pronounciation for each letter his name is to read [kyou][suke].
  82.   It is from a euphonic change =>    [o]+[u] = long [o])

  84. <My impression> 
  85.  By a miracle, despite if the changing of the touch of pictures, 
  86. smoothly I could take them whom I knew and have loved.  
  87.  
  88.  I rethinked and felt how Kyosuke and Madoka love each other , and
  89. thought I will have loved this movie when I become an old man.
  90.  
  91. <Differences with the original work (novel)>
  92. 1. Akane doesn't appear at all.
  93.    //Oops! Gotta change my KOR Media Page info again...
  94. 2. Elder(22 year old) Madoka moves more active to solve the problems 
  95.   in cooperate with Ojiichan , and meets younger(19 year old) Kyosuke.   
  96. 3. Ojiichan plays great role in solving problems as a commander. 
  97. 4. First Grandparents is in Hawaii (in 1994) and call elder Madoka
  98.    to tell that younger Kyousuke's spirit is in 1994.In other words,
  99.    he reminds Madoka about the accident on Kyosuke in 1991.   
  100. 5. Elder Madoka(22) and Hikaru(20)  and younger Kyosuke(19) swim in
  101.   a pool in the hotel Hikaru stays. 
  102.    In there Madoka could accept Hikaru's love to Kyosuke as her Sister,
  103.   with watching Kyosuke in water. (Kyosuke is swimming!!)

  105.    Their very [Summer] comes !!

  109. <Elder Kyosuke, Madoka and Hikaru>
  110. [They are already grown-up.] It is what audiences have to know or notice.
  111.  
  112. <The conversation between two Kyosuke  (elder and younger)>    
  113.  First elder Kyosuke's voice was recorded and younger Kyosuke's voice is
  114. added in post-recording.(T.Furuya says in the interview in 2.Nov.)
  115.  Two voices are falsely similar. The difference is in the emotion comes
  116. through its sound. I felt 2 tender hearts performed by 1 person.

  118. <Making love (My God... Do I have to write this!?)> 
  119.  This movie fully deals with [making love]  as very important factor
  120. in their love.
  121.   IT for Kyosuke , IT for Madoka , IT for Hikaru
  122.  
  123.  I was ordered to face [what is IT for their love], without thinking of any 
  124. lasciviousness , when Kyosuke's tear of moving tricked down his cheek.

  127.  What she is in 1994 is the same to the original work except for the 
  128. difference No.5 .

  130.  She is still [kya-pi kya-pi](!?) girl.
  131.  Remarkable youthfulness of E.Hara's acting!!
