  4. If you're using RISC OS 3.1 you may need to update your System files. We recommend that you try running the programs on the CD first. If any give trouble, upgrade your System files with !SYSMERGE as described in the main README.
  5.  
  6. If you're using RISC OS 3.5, 3.6 or 3.7 you can ignore all this.
  7.  
  8. If you don't know which you're using, either:
  9.  
  10.      (i)  press F12 - you'll see a * at the bottom of the screen
  11.           type FX0 and press <Return>
  12.           read what it says at the bottom of the screen, then
  13.           press <Return> to get back to the Desktop, or
  14.  
  15.      (ii) switch the machine off, then on, and see what the startup screen says.
