OCR: If you think 1 meg isn't enough and you'd like to later on, to 8 meg, then you need an upgrade like expand to 2 meg and then the one below. CORTEX 2 MEG £299 4 MEG £419 8 MEG £699 (A1000 Compatible. ) This is the memory expansion of memory expansion's, electronic perfection. Although pricey, for what you get it's worth it. The upgrade comes in a metal box, which slots into the side of your Amiga, don't worry if you have a hard drive as Cortex is fully auto configuring, which means you can plug other addons into it, such as a hard drive. No clock option with this e expansion unit, but then again it doesn't need one, just buy a standard % meg expansion with clock (like the Zydec or Ashcom) and put it in the trapdoor slot, meaning that with a fully expanded Cortex, you'll have an Amiga with 9 meg of memory and your guarantee will still be intact. Cortex uses SIMM RAM, (very high-speed) recommended for compatibility and upgrading couldn't be simpler You buy the 2 meg unit for f299 (if your budget is higher, just buy one of the others) and when you want more memory, just buy the chips and plug them into the unit. If your worried about power consumption, then theres no need as Cortex comes with a power supply unit and if plugged in, it draws it's power from that, if not then power will be taken from the Amiga. To top it all off, it comes with support for use with the A1000. (Aren't you Overall a very good upgrade if you want more than 1 meg of memory, well worth lucky ?) considering even if you don't Paul
